I'm so glad you're here.

Taking the first step toward professional support is a brave choice, and I’m honored you’ve found your way to my corner of the digital world. I’m Sohal, and I work with people who are ready to move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to living with more clarity and ease. Whether you are navigating a difficult transition, untangling old patterns, or simply seeking a space where you can be truly heard, I’m here to walk that path with you.

I am a German-licensed Psychological Psychotherapist with a background in Neuropsychology (M.Sc.) dedicated to providing high-level, integrative therapy for those feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or in transition. My work is defined by a deep respect for the science of the brain and a compassionate commitment to the person behind the symptoms.

Bridging the Science of the Brain
with the Art of Healing

I believe that our work together is most effective when it combines deep clinical expertise with a genuine, collaborative partnership. My work is not about 'fixing' symptoms; it is about helping you understand the intricate blueprint of your own mind so you can navigate life with more clarity and agency.

With a specialised background in Neuropsychology and years of intensive clinical practice, I look beyond surface-level struggles to understand the underlying patterns of your nervous system, your history, and your potential. Whether we are untangling complex patterns or navigating a difficult life transition, my goal is to provide a space where you feel both deeply seen as a person and fully supported by evidence-based science.

My Path & Professional Foundation

My approach is rooted in a rigorous academic and clinical foundation, ensuring that the support you receive is of the highest standard. I view my role as a partner in your growth, bringing a scientist’s precision and a therapist’s empathy to every session.

  • Postgraduate Clinical Training: I am a licensed Psychological Psychotherapist (Psychologische Psychotherapeutin, Approbation), having completed my extensive postgraduate training in Germany at the Köln-Bonner Akademie für Verhaltenstherapie (KBAV). I concluded this rigorous state certification with the highest possible distinction (Grade 1.0).

  • Master of Science in Neuropsychology: Before my clinical licensure, I earned my M.Sc. in Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology from Maastricht University. This allows me to bring a unique perspective to therapy - understanding the neurological 'why' behind how we think, feel, and react.

  • 2,000+ Hours of Clinical Experience: My expertise is built on over 2,000 hours of direct therapeutic work. This includes individual and group therapy in inpatient psychiatric settings (University Hospital Bonn) and outpatient care.

  • Diverse Therapeutic Settings: I have extensive experience working across the full spectrum of care - from intensive inpatient hospital settings to outpatient clinics and modern online therapy platforms.

Specialised Qualifications

  • EMDR & Trauma Therapy: I hold advanced qualifications in EMDR and the treatment of trauma-related disorders, providing specialized care for processing difficult past experiences.

  • Group Therapy Expertise: I am a certified specialist in Group Therapy, allowing me to facilitate powerful group healing dynamics alongside individual work.

Outside of the Therapy Space

When I’m not in the therapy room, you can usually find me exploring the trails of Madeira, experimenting with a new recipe, or enjoying time with our dog. I believe in the power of curiosity, a touch of humor, and the quiet beauty that comes with every fresh start.
