About

Together we will work on helping you understand your emotions, recognise recurring patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

I studied Msc Neuropsychology in the Netherlands and trained as a licensed psychotherapist (Psychologische Psychotherapeutin) in Germany. I bring together an understanding of the brain, body, and emotion helping you find clarity and steadiness in difficult times.

Depending on your needs, I can integrate elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness-Based Methods, all grounded in behavioural psychotherapy. I have supported clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation, and relationship difficulties, among others. No experience is too small or too complex to bring into therapy.

I currently offer remote online psychotherapy and in-person therapy sessions in Funchal, Madeira, in English and German.

“Your brain and body learned to protect you;
therapy helps them learn how to let you live.”

 FAQs

  • Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other.
    You’ll have space to share what brings you to therapy, and we’ll explore what you’d like to focus on.
    I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions you might have.
    Together, we’ll decide whether it feels like a good fit and what our next steps could look like.

  • All sessions take place online via a secure, certified platform (Webprax).
    You can join comfortably from your own space with a stable internet connection, camera, and microphone.

  • My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, and emotion- and body-focused approaches. This means we work on understanding emotional patterns and developing practical tools for change — so therapy can help you feel more balanced, connected, and in touch with what truly matters to you.

  • Therapy can be helpful whenever you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself or others. You don’t need to be in crisis — many people come to therapy to better understand their emotions, improve relationships, and create lasting change.

  • I work with adults seeking support for various emotional and psychological difficulties — such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, difficulties with emotional regulation, and relationship issues.
    Having lived in different countries and worked with people from all backgrounds, I also support those who are adjusting to life abroad or navigating cross-cultural transitions
